Hi Ali - Thanks again for organising a fantastic January weekend away. Please put our names down for a holiday in June, and in preference we would like the 14th for 4 nights but are quite happy with the 3 night weekend if that is the majority decision. Looking forward to the February meet.

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all OK and all those who have been away at Holme Lacey for the weekend, I hope you have safely returned home.

I will be letting you have all the info soon regarding the programme for the year - but as promised I have been in touch with Group Sales at Warners and have come up with the following:

If I book 16 places we get one free place so therefore costings are based on this assumption.

For the all inclusive weekend - 3 nights - Sinah Warren Friday llth June - the price equates per person to 235. (470 per couple).

For HB 4 nights - 14th June - 225 per person. (450 per couple).

These prices are based on standard Ambassador rooms, similar to what we had this weekend.

Please let me know a.s.a.p. if anyone is interested in these options.

As I have said I will publish the diary of events very shortly.
Ali

Hello everyone,

Well winter is here with a vengence this year - I hope you are all safe and keeping warm.

All those travelling to Holme Lacey - the weather conditions (as of today Wednesday) the main roads are clear but the side roads are a little difficult. It is expected that the snow will soon be gone but there may be some slushy roads still around when we are travelling on Friday. Please refer to the following website for exact directions, as the sat nav guide is not quite as explicit as it should be. The website is: www.warnerleisurehotels.co.uk/holmelacy. If anyone gets into any difficulty (or anticipates being late)please ring me on my mobile or ring the hotel on 01432 870 870. As you know weather conditions change quite quickly, so just take care
and drive safely. See you Friday.

Hello Everyone,

Well the old year is nearly over and we have had a busy 12 months - hopefully all enjoyable for most of you. We will be trying to organise the calendar of events when we go to Holme Lacey - but if any of you have any ideas you want to put forward please let me know, so I can discuss them with your committee.

I hope you all had a great Christmas, I know for some of you it has been somewhat of a trauma, but let's look forward to 2010 which I hope will bring you all happiness and good fortune.

Thank you all for being so supportive and helpful throughout the year - you all have been great in organising various events and without your input we would not have such a vibrant and happy area.

Our wishes go to you all for a HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROPEROUS 2010 and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Anglia Region had their Christmas Lunch on Sunday 6th December at The Grange Country House Hotel , Thurston, Nr. Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. Some of us met early for coffee and set off on a 30 mile drive that Ivan had organised for us, stating that we could contact him if necessary in his State Room on board ship! If there were any problems, but needless to say his instructions were good, the sun came out for us and everyone managed to return to the hotel for a superb lunch. We had the Banqueting Room to ourselves and the meal, which was delicious was served very quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately four of our regular friends were unable to attend but everyone joined with us in sending them our good wishes for Christmas and the coming year. When lunch had finished we were all invited to Henry & Sheilas cottage for tea and mince pies, which finished off our day nicely. Thank you to them for making us so welcome.
There will be no meeting in January as the date falls to near to all the Christmas Festivities and most of us will be heading for the Warners Hotel in Holme Lacey later in the month, where the committee will discuss future events and dates at that time.
Februarys meeting will be at Anglesey Abbey hopefully there will be an abundance of snowdrops in the various winter gardens to go and see lunch to be announced later, but will probably be in the local hostelry.
Whilst writing this report I would like to thank everyone who has supported Dave and myself during the past year and also thank our Directors and Friends in the Club in continuing on our behalf to support our region.
We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year.
