Anglia Report for November 2009
Our November meeting this year was very different from the norm. Thanks to Thomas and Sharon who kindly booked seats at Norwich Theatre for 18 members to see a Mowtown Show. We all met in Weatherspoons for a meal before the show, so that we could catch up with everyones news and then it was a short walk to the theatre on a very blustery evening.
The show was very good and everyone was soon singing along and toe tapping with the music. During the break we had to load up with ice creams and drinks as we were running out of steam! It was a really happy evening thanks Thomas and Sharon for organising this.
Decembers meeting will be our Christmas Lunch and this will be held at the Grange Country House Hotel, Thurston, Nr. Bury St. Edmunds. Although Janet and Ivan cannot join us for lunch on that day, they have organised a short drive (weather permitting) before lunch for those who want to see some of the countryside. We will be meeting at approximately 10.00 to 10.15 for coffee before setting off and will end up back in time for lunch at 1 p.m. For those who have not let me know their choice of menu will you please get in touch soon. Sheila and Henry have kindly suggested that we meet back at their cottage after lunch for tea and mince pies.
If you would like to have a meeting in January the date would be the 3rd, but most of us will be meeting up at the Warners Venue on the 15th, so if you have any ideas for next years programme please let me know either at the Christmas Dinner or let me have your ideas in January. As the days are a lot shorter in January, perhaps just a Sunday lunch would be appropriate but obviously its up to you to decide just let me know. Ali.

Performance is at the Norwich Theatre Royal and starts at 7:30, try and get there a good 15 minutes beforehand. Postcode NR21RL.

I suggest we meet at Bell PH (Weatherspoons) at 5:00 on the Top Floor. Postcode NR13QB. It is a five minute walk to the Theatre. It should be quite quiet and is a large pub.

I reccomend parking at The Forum (underground carpark, modern and safe). Postcode NR21TF. It is fairly cheap on a Sunday and close to the Theatre although a five min walk to the Bell PH. So the hard bit! you will need to exit the carpark from the front of the Forum so you are looking at a church. Walk down keeping the church on your left. When you get to the main shopping street (runs left to right). From here ask someone! it's a well known pub!

Of course if you do not intend to eat you can go straight to the Theatre, although please loiter in the lobby as you will need a ticket from me!

Shops (not all) are open until 4:30 in Norwich.
