Morning Everyone,
Whilst being tied to the house I have been researching our break for July. As it was decided at last month's meeting to change the venue from the Isle of Wight to the Lake District, Sheila and myself have come up with The Grasmere Hotel as a possible venue. As this is quite a small friendly hotel rooms will be limited. Therefore I need to have a good idea how many of you would like to go. Prices range from: 169 per person for a standard room any 3 nights from Sunday to Thursday inclusive or there is @5 for 4@ midweek Special Breaks starting from 228 per person all inclusive of dinner. I have some brochures which have been sent to me which I will bring to next month's meeting. Also they do have a website: www.grasmerehotel.co.uk which you can look up if you are interested.

A reminder for next month's meeting - Can you please let Ivan know if you will be attending as he will need numbers for lunch.
Many thanks.
Hope to see you all soon.
Ali

Anglia Regional Report March 2009
We had a very different meeting to the norm. We met up at Haughley Manor, near Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. As we were to be shown round the house and also have lunch in the dining room, it was agreed to split into two groups. One group would be shown round the garden and grounds and taken for sprint round the village whilst the other group were shown round the house and had lunch. Then we swapped round. We were expecting Jonathan to join us but he obviously must have made his way to the other Haughley Manor in the vicinity I hope he had a more substantial lunch than we did! (The pudding was OK but the recipe was a closely guarded secret). After the Lord of the Manor had finished serving us our meal we were all invited to Henry & Sheila's beautiful cottage where sumptuous home made cakes and tea were served in the conservatory. Thank you Henry & Sheila for organising such an unusual meeting!
Discussion took place regarding the summer holiday and it was agreed by the majority that we should visit the Lake District again instead of the Isle of Wight. Details will be available on our Anglian website in due course.
Next month's meeting is a Drive organized by Ivan and Janet and again details will be published on the website as soon as possible.
