Hi Ali
We're sorry, but neither of the alternatives for Warners appeal to us, so this time we will give it a miss.

Sorry but I won't be able to come to the meeting in October. My friends have just told me they are taking me out for the day to celebrate my birthday. I'll let Russ know if I can come to the Christmas meal, I hope so!

Hi everyone,
Its me again - I have been trying to sort out the January weekend and have come up with the following:-

Holme Lacey do not have any availability for the 23rd January - Gerry and the Pacemakers.

There is possible availablity the following week - but the entertainment is - Live Music & Commedy featuring Hermes in their Late Lounge. (No idea what this is but it might be OK) the only thing is if you want upgrades they are much more expensive!!!!

We have been offered accomodation at Nidd Hall for the 23rd January: Celebrating Burns Night with Gaelic Music & Comedy.
Ambassador Rooms - 305.20 per couple.
Ambassador + Rooms - £350.20 per couple & £341.20 per couple.
I have reserved rooms until Friday 12th September at Nidd.
BUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR PREFERENCE BEFORE THEN. (ASAP)
I will let you all decide what you would like to do!

Anglia Regional Report for September 2008

23 Members including Chris ( a new member) from the Anglia region met and had a superb Sunday afternoon cruising down the River Ouse as far as Godmanchester Bridge one way and then returning as far as Wyton, Nr Huntingdon the other way. Lunch was served on board, with the choice of Roast Beef or Roast Chicken with a selection of sweets and everyone agreed the meal was most enjoyable, except for Pat who was unfortunately ill but is now I’m glad to say on the mend. The weather was good and although the river was very high after all the rain we have had, it was a very relaxing afternoon. Everyone was invited back to Ali & Dave's for afternoon tea and cake.
Members were reminded about the AGM at Michaelover next month and anyone wishing to attend should contact Eileen Male immediately.
This year Christmas lunch has kindly been organized by Russ. It will be held this year in Felixstowe, menu is available from Russ on 01394 284050.
The January weekend away was discussed and a board went round asking all those interested to put their names down so that Ali could investigate costs etc. Will keep you informed via the website as soon as I have information for you all.
Next month’s meeting is the Whiskey tour in Suffolk with lunch at the The Nags Head in East Harling at 12 noon.Post code = NR16 2AD. Anyone not booked in please contact Ali/Dave or Sheila and Henry.
